2024 Wrap-Up!

Hello everyone!

I want to start off by wishing you all a very happy New Year, and having the best year yet in 2025!

All I have to say is 2024 was quite the whirl wind! Between all the things, there are always a lot of ups and downs.

Staying positive is what we felt like the theme was, because let’s face it we are just trying to survive on this beautiful blue marble orbiting here in space. Between the crazy the political climate, personal up’s and down’s, and business down’s and up’s, I think the end of the year could not have come any sooner.

Starting off with some personal updates:

-Both my mother and mother in law are steadily getting back to them old shelves after a year for wild health scares. Both are becoming walking machines, which is so good! Can’t imagine they run marathons, but catching up with them at the shops might become a fun challenge!

-Charlie and I are doing well, no kids on the horizon yet (lol), however I am going to be taking steps this year to finally get myself checked out and make sure my body is functioning well or at least at 80%. I personally have been feeling not myself for about 4 years, and it super frustrating and I simply want to know what’s going on and how to remedy those health concerns.

-At the tail end of 2024 I did have some dental issues come up. My primary dentist thought I was going to need a root canal done, however the Endodontics said that it was more likely that I needed a cavity filled and crowned due to some small fractures he was seeing…so yay no extreme drilling! Plus, I am finally going to get two broken teeth taken out and one wisdom tooth removed as well. I feel I finally found some dentists that agree with me and keeping what I can of my two wisdom teeth due missing other adult molars…I have had bad dental genetics and history that would take up too much this pages space.

So all in all, 2025 is the year of making sure Bree is firing on all pistons!

-Our garden was full and bountiful this summer… so many tomatoes!

-Went to Montana to two weddings

-Visited many National and State Parks on our 3 major camping trips this year… we went to 3 or 4 NPs in the first trip in June!

Business Updates:

Wow wow wow!

The last quarter of 2024 really popped off for F&H, because in all realness I was planning on shutting the website down and focusing on local markets. It seems like plans have changed though!

So for the past 3-5 months (August.-Dec. 2024) these are all the events and classes I have done/taught at:

-Halloween Embroidery Class

-Cute Ghostie Plaques Painting Class

-She Means Business Vending Event

-Crafternoon at The Kress Cinema: August-October (We are currently on break, but we are having a meeting soon to plan out the next few showtimes)

-Embroidered Monogram Class

-Embroidered Holiday Ornament Class

-Indie Arts at The Atlas Theatre and John Gault Coffee

-Margie’s Market Pop-Up Holiday Market

-Signed on as new vendor at Maker’s Mercantile & Studio in downtown Greeley

Bonus projects:

-Free motion quilted 27 quilts and other small pieces like runners and such

-Finished at least 4 personal projects

And I am sure that I have done many other things throughout the year, just too many think of at the moment.

So with that all being said…

The power of positivity is a mysterious energy, and all I have to say it works. Let God take on your anxieties and don’t let the fear consume the soul…just go with the flow and think,” what’s the best that can come from this situation?” It’s so EASY to get caught up in the darkness, but follow that light…be the light!
