2024 Temperature Blanket
Alrighty folks who’s ready for 2024 and starting a new project that changes everyday!? I am!
So I have decided to create a knit blanket this year, and honestly picking the colors was so hard. However it all came together — semi-muted groovy color tones.
Okay, for this project here are the supplies that I am planning on using:
Size US 8 knitting needle, with at least a 40”-60” cord
8 colors of worsted weight yarn (amounts, at least start off by getting two hanks of each color — we can never know what the average high temp will be for the day/year.) And I chose groovy earthy colors!
Darning needle
Snips (small scissors)
Needle point protectors (optional— great for traveling purposes)
A decent sized tote or basket to store the yarns in
Let’s get knitting!
Instructions:
CO 275 sts
Row 1: With first color, knit across all sts
Row 2: with same color, knit across all sts
Everyday knit 2 rows of each color, cutting colors when color changes are needed. No need for extra tails and fringe quite yet, so conserve as much yarn as needed for the project.
As for the tails, these can can either get hidden/darned into the rows or tie two or a few tails together to create a fringe along the edges of the blanket.
