Happy New Year! Hello 2024
Hello everyone! My apologies about being away for so long, it’s been a wild and exciting full of ups and downs, and we are going to be making 2024 a better and brighter year!
And start off the New Year who want’s to get crafty and stay crafty all year? Because I have been working on something exciting over the past few months…drum roll please🥁 I created templates for Temperature Project Monthly Trackers. Woohoo!! So for those who are familiar with temperature quilts, blankets, embroidery, etc. this is template could be just the thing you are looking for.
When designing this temperature daily temperature tracker I tried to keep in mind that not all of us are quilters or yarnies, there are many of us that do other mediums or many mediums. On the tracker are eight spots for the color theme of the makers choosing, a full year calendar with spots for the daily high temps, a couple of lines to mark the year and the project that is intended, and designed in a botanical or a groovy style just for fun!
For 2023 I have been making a temperature quilt using 1.5” x 3” Flying Geese Blocks 4-at-a-time. When I started this quilt I did pilfer through Pinterest are a bit and landed on the idea to make mine with flying geese blocks. The only issue I had was how big the quilt would be due to the amount and variety of solid color fabrics, which surprising was not a lot. However I had enough background fabric because of a special order I had last year and needed bolts of fabric to complete the order — I now have about 100 yds of the same fabric. Sooooooo I will more than likely posting a de-stashing sale at some point this year and I will definitely be posting about it.
